Business laptops and desktops, ready to work

The right computer for each role, sourced at business grade with a proper warranty behind it, and delivered set up, secured and ready for the person using it. From everyday office laptops to specialist workstations for graphics and CAD.

Business-grade computers, not retail specials

There's a real difference between the laptop on a retail shelf and the business line sitting behind it: sturdier chassis, better keyboards and screens, security chips your IT can manage remotely, and warranties measured in years with on-site response rather than a mail-in repair. GBS supplies the business lines, specced to the role they'll actually do.

For most teams that means reliable, light, all-day laptops or compact desktops that disappear behind the monitor. For your design, drafting and engineering people it means proper graphics and CAD workstations: certified graphics cards, the memory and processing power modelling software actually needs, and colour-accurate displays.

Every machine arrives imaged with your standard software, joined to your systems, secured, and recorded in your asset register. Your new starter opens the lid and works.

What we supply

Specced to the person and the job, not one-size-fits-all.

Business laptops

Light, durable machines built for all-day work, with business warranties of up to three years and on-site support options. The everyday workhorse for office and hybrid teams.

Business desktops

Compact and micro desktops that tuck behind a monitor, plus towers where expansion matters. Quiet, dependable and easy to manage across a fleet.

Graphics & CAD workstations

Specialist machines for design, drafting, engineering and video: certified graphics, serious processing power and memory, and displays you can trust for colour.

Docks, monitors & accessories

The complete workstation: docking stations, dual-monitor setups, keyboards, headsets and webcams, so one cable at the desk drives everything.

Rugged devices

For utes, workshops, farms and sites: rugged and semi-rugged laptops and tablets that shrug off dust, bumps and weather.

Security built in

Every device supplied with encryption, security chips (TPM), and enrolment into management, aligned with the controls in standards like SMB1001.

Buying guide

What actually matters in a business computer

Specs sheets are noise. These are the things that decide whether a machine is still doing its job in year four.

The warranty, not the price tag

A business warranty with next-business-day on-site repair means a dead laptop is a one-day problem. A retail warranty means weeks in a repair queue. Over three years, that difference is worth more than any discount.

Specced for the role

An admin laptop, a CAD workstation and a ute laptop are three different machines. Buying one spec for everyone means overpaying for some seats and frustrating others. We spec per role and it costs less overall.

Manageability and security

Business machines carry the hardware your IT provider uses to secure and support them remotely: TPM chips, remote management, and firmware that behaves in a fleet. Retail gear often quietly lacks it.

How buying through GBS works

Procurement is a service, not a shopping cart. Every piece of hardware we supply goes through the same lifecycle.

Sound like your fleet?

Talk to us about laptops and desktops if your business:

  • Is buying computers reactively from retail when someone's machine dies
  • Has design, drafting or engineering staff working on underpowered general-purpose machines
  • Wants new starters productive on day one, not waiting on a setup
  • Has a mixed, ageing fleet with no replacement plan or asset register
  • Needs warranties that actually get machines fixed where you are, not in a capital-city depot

Common questions

What's the difference between a business laptop and a retail laptop?

Business lines use tougher chassis, better keyboards and displays, and include manageability and security hardware such as TPM chips and remote management. Most importantly they carry business warranties, typically up to three years with next-business-day on-site repair, where retail models usually offer twelve months of mail-in service.

Can GBS supply workstations for CAD and graphics work?

Yes. We spec and supply mobile and desktop workstations for CAD, drafting, design, GIS and video work: certified graphics cards, high-core-count processors, the right memory, and colour-accurate displays, matched to the software you run.

Do the computers arrive set up?

Yes. Machines are imaged with your standard software, joined to your Microsoft 365 or domain environment, encrypted and enrolled in management before delivery. The person unboxes it, signs in and works.

What happens when a machine fails under warranty?

You call us. We manage the warranty claim with the vendor, arrange the repair or replacement, and if needed get the person working on a spare in the meantime. Regional businesses shouldn't have to argue with a national call centre.

How often should we replace business computers?

Most businesses work on a three-to-five year cycle. We help you plan a staged refresh so replacements arrive as a predictable budget line rather than an emergency, and old devices are wiped and disposed of securely.
